เอเอฟเอส สหรัฐอเมริกา แจ้งให้ทราบว่า ขณะนี้ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศสหรัฐฯ ได้ตั้งสายด่วนเพื่อนักเรียนแลกเปลี่ยน
โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ให้นักเรียนแลกเปลี่ยน ที่กำลังเข้าร่วมโครงการในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา รวมถึงครอบครัวอุปถัมภ์
สามารถร้องเรียนปัญหาต่าง ๆ เช่น ปัญหาสุขภาพ ความปลอดภัย หรือปัญหาโดยทั่วไป
โดยโทรไปที่ 1-866-283-9090 (โทรฟรี)
โดยจะมีเจ้าหน้าที่กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ที่รับผิดชอบส่วนงานแลกเปลี่ยน คอยให้คำปรึกษา 24 ชั่วโมง 7 วันต่อสัปดาห์

US Department of State Toll Free Number

The Department of State announced the implementation of a toll free number (1-866-283-9090) for secondary school students. Effective August 1, 2009, this telephone number will be in operation 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The toll free number can be used by both host families and exchange students to report circumstances impacting the students’ health, safety and well being during their exchange visitor programs. All exchange students and their host families will receive the toll free number in a letter and it will be provided on an identification card provided to all students. Finally, the number will be included in AFS program materials and orientations provided to host families and students.
